The game
The gender reveal cup game
A shell game where nobody knows which cup it's under, not even you. Take turns lifting cups on your video call. Most hide something silly. A few put on a full drumroll and then reveal a rubber duck. One holds the answer.

Cups, start to finish.
Meet the cup game. Twenty cups, all with their eyes shut. One of them knows something you don't.
Read the script
- Meet the cup game. Twenty cups, all with their eyes shut. One of them knows something you don't.
- On your turn, tap a cup. Grandma can just yell a number, and the host taps it for her.
- Most cups hide something incredibly useful. Like a rubber duck. Or one sock. Just the one.
- Some get a full drumroll, every screen holding its breath… for a pickle.
- Then someone lifts the right one, and every screen finds out in the same second.
- The cup game, from Nobody Peeks. Nobody knows which cup. Not even you.
How it plays
From sealed card to confetti.
- 1
Scan the card blind
The parents' sealed result card is scanned on the host's phone with the screen dark, so nobody sees it. Not even the parents.
- 2
Everyone joins
Family joins from their own phones with a four-letter code. No app, no accounts, up to 12 players.
- 3
Take turns lifting cups
Each player lifts one cup on their turn. Rubber ducks, one tiny sock, a pickle. Fake-outs get a drumroll on every screen before it turns out to be a duck.
- 4
Someone finds it
One cup holds the reveal. Confetti on every phone at the same second, and a scoreboard of who called it.
Why it works for a reveal
Best for: Big groups and first-timers.
Instantly understood
Everyone knows how cups work. Grandma included.
Suspense on every turn
Any cup could be the one, so even the fifth pick feels risky.
Lots of little laughs
Joke prizes and fake drumrolls keep the room loud until the real one.
In the same room?
Put it on the TV.
Open nobodypeeks.com/tv on a smart TV's browser or a laptop plugged into the TV, and type the room code. The big screen shows the game, the music, and the reveal. Guests play on their phones, and anyone without one can call out their move for the host to tap.
Some of the family on video, some on the couch? Both work at once.
Questions
Good to know.
How many cups are there?
It scales with your group: 20 cups for small families, up to 40 for a full room of 12.
Can the host tell which cup it is?
No. The answer isn't tied to a cup anyone can see, and it never reaches anyone's phone until someone lifts the right one.
What if someone can't tap?
They call out a number and the host taps it for them. It still counts as their pick.
